how long will it take for my items to sell?

the duration for items to sell can vary depending on factors like desirability, brand popularity, and current market demand. while some items may sell quickly, others may take longer to find the perfect buyer. we continuously optimise our platform to maximise visibility and expedite the selling process. 

what happens if my item doesn't sell?

in the event that your item doesn't sell within a specific timeframe, we may discuss alternative options with you. this could include adjusting the price, re-evaluating the item's market appeal, or potentially returning the item to you. our goal is to work together to find the best solution for your consigned items. 

what fees are associated with the consignment service?

our consignment service operates on a commission basis. we will provide you with clear information regarding our commission rates and any additional fees before you finalise the consignment agreement. our commission covers the expenses involved in item evaluation, authentication, professional photography, listing creation, marketing efforts, and transaction facilitation.

how do i get paid?

you will receive a direct deposit. 

easy and hassle-free. the commission you earn is deposited straight into your bank account after the 14-day return period has ended and the sale is finalised. we pay on the 15th and the 30th of each month to provide you quicker access to your earnings. 

how do discounts work?

as the resale market changes, so does our algorithm.  

discounts begin every 45 days. items will be discounted to a maximum percentage based on the original selling price.  

this means:  

  • items up to £5000 will be discounted by a maximum of 50%
  • items over £5000 will be discounted by 25%
  • discounts might not be applied to select high-value items
are there any selling fees?

our service is free. we’ll only charge our selling fees after you sell your item.

our commission scheme lets you earn the most by doing the least.

are there any return fees?

you can easily request a return and remove your listing at your own expense.

if you require your item back, you will be charged a return fee of £15 per item for your item to be processed + additional shipping costs. hermès bags will cost £75 + shipping.

what is the acceptance criteria?

everyone is welcome in our circular community, but every piece needs to be up to standard. make sure you check your items before you sell with us to make sure they’re ready to be rehomed.

we’re looking for ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, jewellery, accessories and small leather goods. make sure that your items are washed/dry cleaned and without any holes or marks. note that your item doesn’t need to be originally purchased from the brand/retailer.

there are some pieces that won’t vibe with the rlvd community. please don’t send us:

  • counterfeit or non-genuine items
  • swimwear
  • bras, lingerie, tights and socks
  • items that have not been acquired legally – items whose sale is contrary to the law
  • items with a hygiene or health risk
  • products with offensive imagery

as soon as we receive each item, our quality control and authentication experts will review it carefully to determine its authenticity, quality and value.

condition

the condition of your piece affects its value. this means that items with the least wear will be given higher price tags. read our condition guide here.

if your item has been too thoroughly loved, with significant wear, it will be rejected. we also can’t accept items that are noticeably deformed or damaged, stained, have noticeable holes, or which show signs of piling.

while we appreciate a good diy, items that have been altered or customised in non-professional ways cannot be accepted.

make sure your items (including shoes) are washed, clean and odour-free before you send them to their new home. all garments must be ironed.

authenticity

we only accept the real thing. we use ai technology and our luxury expertise to make sure that every item on our site is 100% authentic. inauthentic pieces will not be accepted.

all items will need to carry their brand label.

designer brands

while we carry a variety of brands, we don’t offer them all. check the designer brands we accept here.

please note that we do not accept seconds or samples.

items that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted and will either be:

  • donated to a charity of our choice
  • returned to you at your own expense at a price of £15 (gbp) per item, capped at £45 (gbp) for a single shipment + shipping. hermès bags will cost £75 + shipping.
